Internet Explorer version 8.0 Compatibility View Mode:

If you are using version 8.0 of Internet Explorer, there is a new feature you need to be made aware of. Please look for an icon that looks like a torn piece of paper. It will be located to the left of the refresh and stop button on your browser toolbar. Please be sure to click on it to enable the compatibility view mode and answer any dialog boxes that may appear.

Popup Blockers:

As a friendly reminder, please be aware that pop up ad blockers will prevent the login screen for Ask Ned. You will need to allow pop ups to occur for our site.

If you have Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL or any other website tool bars, you must also turn off the pop up blockers for our site. Each tool bar will have a different pop up blocker.

Both Norton and McAfee antivirus packages may contain a personal Internet security component that might prevent our site from working. You can temporarily disable this security for the duration while accessing our site. Please be sure to re-enable this once you plan to navigate to another website.

Internet Explorer:

Only upgrade your browser if you do not have Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0. Most users have these versions and you do not need to upgrade to version 7.0 unless you are interested in trying the latest features Microsoft has to offer (such as the web tabs). You can check to see which version you have by clicking on the help menu and then on the “About Internet Explorer”. There you will see which version you have.
